I Led Zeppelin nel corso della loro carriera si sono aggiudicati la bellezza di dieci dischi d’oro e novanta di platino, entrando nella Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nel 1995. Ciò che hanno fatto insieme al loro produttore Peter Grant, tra l’altro, ha cambiato il modo in cui gli artisti del genere si rapportavano all’industria radiofonica e discografica.
La storica formazione del gruppo vede Robert Plant (voce e armonica), Jimmy Page (chitarra), John Paul Jones (basso e tastiera) e John Bonham (batteria), bisogna tuttavia ricordare i turnisti Tony Thompson, Phil Collins e Jason Bonham alla batteria, dopo la tragica morte di John Bonham nel settembre del 1980.
